Howard University Choir April 29

The Howard University Concert Choir will perform a spring concert at Saint Joseph’s on Capitol Hill on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 5:00 pm.  Conductor Eric O. Poole has programed a broad variety of choral literature which includes works by Palestrina, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Debussy, Mark Fax, Rosephanye Powell, and André Thomas.  The Feature work on the program is Te Deum a work for mixed chorus, organ, and brass composed by Robert A. Harris.  This work received its Washington, DC premiere in 1993 under the baton of noted conductor and choral clinician Evelyn White. The work was commissioned for the Evelyn White Chorale of Washington, DC.
